I always appreciate people who have an attitude of gratitude. They’re pleasant to be around and (typically) have great perspective. They don’t live in the clouds but in the real world. So how do they do it?
Five (5) thoughts to living grateful…
- Journal daily about what you’re grateful for in your life. I’ve learned some great techniques from Joy Work Circle creator K. Grace Howes.
- Smile for no reason! I’m doing it right now as I type. π
- Create your own purpose. The Abstract artist Jackie M Wood creates a To-Do list in comparison to her age. It’s the coolest thing and I’m going to make one too!
- Proactive mind set. Here’s a post about the Top-10 Benefits of Being Proactive. I used it to make a personal check list.
- Let grateful people influence you. Their message, music, poetry, art & social media pages will connect you to gratitude.

The characteristics about me that i am grateful for are that I like to help people in anyway I can (usually), I am very social (idk why i like to talk, most days), I am confident (IDC what people think of me, what they say about me, or the way they treat me), I am very creative, and this one is a toss up, im very emotional, which makes me very passionate about things (sometimes that one hurts but having emotions isn’t bad to me).

I’d rather have smile lines than frown lines? π Jk my mommy use to tell me that if someone else isn’t smile then give them mine. I’m so grateful though in the fact that I feel I have a happy life so there’s all the reason to ALWAYS smile π¬ (Cheeeese) π

A characteristic I’m grateful for is my ability to smile and appear calm in emergencies even though inside I’m freaking out. It’s very useful for my work!
